You will be met by your driver/guide and transfer to your hotel for the night.
depart for the southern slope of the Atlas Mountains. Transfer to the village of Tamalakout (4-hour drive). Traditional reception at your Berber muleteers’ home of Tamalakout (1,650m). Go for a short stroll around the village towards the end of the afternoon. A night with the locals.
After loading your mules, you will return to the desert plateaux, heading for the summit of Siroua. Arrive at a Bivouac in front of the village of Aït Tigga (1,950m). Walking time (approximate): 5 hours
Visit to the agadir (a granary which is 900 hundreds years old) of Aït Tigga, and the villages of Idoughagh and Aït Ighmour (2,200m). The path winds steeply uphill and crosses the Col of Tachancht which is 2,500m high. Lunch is taken near a source (2,400m). In the afternoon, you will pass by a group of Azibs (= sheep-pens) at the foot of Tisfeldalt. Arrive at a Bivouac in the nearest place to Siroua. Walking time (approximate): 6.5 hours
The Siroua SummitEarly in the morning, your walk begins to reach the Siroua (3,305m) through the southern slope, with a slight scaling of the relief. Lunch is at the foot of the summit then a descent through the Tikniwine (the twins) to get to the sheep-pens of Irhiri (2,300m). Walking time (approximate): 6.5 hours
MsitallaDeparture due east, you will walk along the Tazoult and cross the massif of Irihi to get to the foot of Msitalla. A path which skirts the watershed (very easy) to join up with your last bivouac near the village of Tamazikht (1,730m). Walking time (approximate): 6.5 hours
Marrakech Return to Marrakech or Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Overnight in the hotel.
