Say hello to the Red city

Between tradition and modernity, Marrakech is the promise of unequalled sensations. Strolling the Jemaa El-Fna square and the souks with their shimmering colours and oriental smells, the red city offers you a complete change of scenery. Horse-drawn carriage rides, sunny terraces, travelling artists and other day and night activities will give a tates of wishful comeback.

You will be able to admire all the architectural richness of the Medina, upon visiting one of its many riads, small oriental palaces overlooking a beautiful patio. You can also relax and recharge at the Menara, a vast garden with an emblematic basin. Marrakech shower its visitors by its splendour and its diversity, you just have to leave the ramparts to be immersed in modern Morocco. The districts of Gueliz and Hivernage offer the most modern infrastructures, luxury boutiques and international ready-to-wear stores, airy avenues ; which all contribute to Marrakech’s unique offering.

Being a growing economic bustling city, Marrakech has special festive and cultural places, such as the « Palais des Congres » and the splendid Royal Theater. Enjoy Marrakech at night by discovering the many themed venues, trendy clubs and traditional evenings that reflect the lively part of the city.

In 2016, Marrakech will host the Cop22 to help adress climate change issues, as a recognition of its new international stature and its considerable reception capacity.

Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Demnate - Ouarzazate

Departure by 4x4 for Demnate, a Berber village renowned for its natural Imi-n-ifri bridge and dinosaur tracks. The road then crosses the High Atlas mountains to reach Ouarzazate, the city of cinema.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skora - Roses Valley - Dades Gorges

Departure for the Skora palm grove and its beautiful kasbahs. After Kelaa M'gouna and the valley of roses, the Boutaghar trail crosses a rocky plateau where nomads troglodytes live. In Ait Youl, the road runs along colorful and surprising rock formations to the Dades gorges.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todghra Gorges - Merzouga

Departure to Merzouga via the Todghra gorges then visit of Tineghir, its Jewish quarter known for its traditional adobe architecture and its palm grove which stretches for 15km. Coffee / tea break and continuation to the Jorf palm grove and its old irrigation system. Arrival in Merzouga, camel ride to contemplate the sunset over the dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga tour

After breakfast, we will start the grand tour of the dunes, we will cross desert plateaus like salt lakes, the black desert, dry rivers, the Paris-Dakar tracks and meet the local Berber nomads, the mines of Mifis, the oases and villages like Khamlia the village of the blacks of Sudan. After lunch on the way, return to the hotel to take you back with the camel caravan to watch the sunset and sunrise in the desert, enjoy a quiet night in nomadic tents and shooting stars.

Day 5: Merzouga - valley of ziz - cedar forest - fes

Your camel guide will wake you up to see the sunrise, then you will leisurely ascend to Merzouga village enjoying the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes - changing with the light throughout the day. Through the Tizi Ntalghamt passes to Midelt, stop at Zaida to enjoy a barbecue and refresh with a glass of mint tea before continuing to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas mountains, where we will stop to see barbarian apes in the cedar forest.

Then we continue to Ifrane called the Switzerland of Morocco, stopping for a photo or a drink before arriving at your accommodation in Fez where you will have dinner and breakfast.

Day 6: fes tour

The whole day will be a guided tour of the city dedicated to the discovery of Fez, the oldest city in Morocco founded by Moulay Idriss II. You will visit the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarters the first Mellah built in Morocco in the 16th century, the Merinides tombs with the magnificent panoramic view over the entire medina and the pottery district. In the afternoon after lunch, the walk in its alleys and small streets to visit the medina and its souks, the Bou Inania medersa, the Nejjarine square and the Karaouiènne Mosque. Then dinner and overnight in your accommodation.

Day 7: 2022 fes - Chefchauen

Today you will have the whole morning to explore Fez.
After seeing the main highlights of the oldest city, you will have lunch in a restaurant in the Medina, then you will drive north, after a few hours you will arrive in Chefchaouen. The evening will be devoted to discovering the simple but pretty town of Chefchaouen, where everything is theatrically opposed to the mountain. Prepare your cameras! With its blue colored houses, its cobbled streets and the mountain as a backdrop, Chefchaouen offers a tranquil and very photogenic setting. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 8: Chefchauen - Rabat - Casablanca

On the 8th day of our tour, we have breakfast at the hotel in Chefchaoun and we take the road to Rabat (the capital of Morocco), the administrative city of Morocco and the king's residence. In Rabat, we visit a few historical monuments, for example: the Hassan tower - Mausoleum of King Mohammed V. after we take a lunch together and we continue our way to Casablanca (the white city of Morocco) and in this city, we also visit the Hassan 2 mosque and some shopping centers and the sea of ​​Casablanca…. at the end of the day, we go to the hotel to spend a night in Casablanca.

Day 9: Casablanca - Marrakech

After breakfast in Casablanca, we take the road to the south "Marrakech" and enjoy the nature and landscapes of a road before we stop in Marrakch, "the red city of Morocco", in which you can visit
